Incorporated in the year 1956, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) has been working with a prime objective of harnessing the mineral wealth through exploration, extraction. Wholly owned Corporation of the Government of Odisha, OMC has come a long way since its inception and today it stands as one of the largest mining companies in India. The major minerals mined by OMC are chrome, iron and bauxite ore which cater to the requirement of mineral-based industries such as steel, aluminium, sponge iron, pig iron, ferro-manganese, ferro-chrome, etc.

OMC is well known for its all-round CSR & Sustainability. It has been honored at national level on several occasions for its outstanding contribution & leadership role in CSR & Sustainability.

OMC produces a diverse range of minerals essential for transformative changes in people's lives - from supplying iron ore extracted from our mines to make steel or extracting chrome ore to function as the primary raw material for producing stainless steel, to providing the industry with bauxite ore to manufacture the versatile metal - aluminium - that is present in everything from mobile phones to vehicles.
